Textile Federation are a clothing label based in London who have offered applicants the option to participant in a 'entomology' themed competition.

Brief:

For centuries people have collected, cataloged and displayed insects in all their vast array of unusual shapes and colours. Like precious jewels people have marveled at these beautiful creatures in all their peculiar varieties. No stranger to the world of art, recent exhibitions by the likes of Damien Hirst have exemplified the other worldly nature of these common yet mysterious beasts and brought them back into the spotlight of the fashion world.

The challenge for this project is to create innovative designs based on the theme of Entomology for use on our range of Silk Scarves.

Submission instructions:

To submit a design you are required to fill in the available fields, upload your design images and agree to the terms and conditions of the competition.
The images you submit here are for presentation purposes ONLY and must meet the dimension and size requirements as stated below underneath their fields. Please ensure you keep the full size version of your design safe as in the event your design is either shortlisted or selected as a winner you will be required to send it to us in order that we may verify it suitable for printing on textiles at the required sizes. Failure to do so will result in your design being withdrawn as a winner. Generally speaking we recommend creating your design at a size of at least 100cm tall at 300dpi in CMYK. Images that you submit here however should be converted to RGB.
Your main image should be of your print alone. Additional images should include a close up of any detail that may be lost in the main image, preferably at actual print size, and may also include your design represented on a garment should you wish.
