Pink Ink || Keith Tyson exhibition || inspiration

A while back I went to an exhibition at the Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery in Carlisle to see the Turner Prize-winning Cumbrian artist called Keith Tyson. He is one of my favourite artists, and the series of visual illusions he produced have always intrigued me. The interesting process in which he creates the obscure natural designs is determined by the reactions between specially mixed paint and chemicals, poured at different angles and temperatures onto aluminium.

His work inspired me to write a brief which fully focuses on extermination of materials and processes to develop unusual outcomes. Although this is a very self-motivated brief and involves a personal interest of mine (fine art) I believe the out come of a brief like 'Pink Ink' could be surprisingly effective in terms of the products which could be developed from it.
