Context:
- Develop a project based on the concept 'pink', collect and create designs which resemble, relate to and associate with anything pink.
- Use these designs to develop a collections of products such as t-shirt designs, iphone cases, tote bags, laptop cases, art print, throw pillows and stationary.
- The aim for this brief is to experiment with a variety of techniques and processes to gain visionary work and effective finishes.

- Consider the style of designs to be consistent to brand for example 'Pink Ink'.
- Experiment with a range of pattern processes.
- Consider the aspect of literally using ink to create designs, E.G ink and water other wise known as japanese marbling/ Suminagashi.
- Investigate other painting techniques such as painting on water/ Turkish Ebru.
- Practice marbling with inks, oil paints and metalic paints, take photos of the process.
- Develop a variety of designs which can be edited in a juxtaposed style through photograph manipulation.
- Mock up digitally enhanced designs onto products as well as print.
Preparation/Research suggestions:
- Gather primary research photography pink objects.
- Produce a questionare to send out to gain information on what peoples opinions are on pink design, what first comes to mind when thinking of 'pink'.
- For secondary research visit exhibitions and galleries where artist incorporate pink into their work.
- Visit stationary stores to look at existing items.
- Research target audiences for the likes of Paperchase, to gain knowledge on who I could aim my designs at.
- Apparel deisgners.
Evidence – for this project students should submit:
- Ongoing documentation on blog
- Research (primary and secondary)
- Design sheets
- Summative and formative feedback from peers
- Initial and final designs
- Develop Design and inspiration boards to help produce products- Pink Ink illustrations and affective designs
- Branding and identity for Pink Ink
